Aravane Rezai

The French ace surprised herself by winning the 2010 Madrid Masters title.

But Aravane Rezai has an on-going disagreement with compatriot Marion Bartoli, after being told that Bartoli was jealous about the attention that Rezai received at the 2010 French Open following her success in Madrid.
 
"Marion's a difficult girl, she already attacked [verbally] me two years ago when I reached the final in Istanbul," claimed Rezai. "If she has a problem with me, that's a bit of a shame - but that's her, she attacked me many times in the press.

"I think I have respect for players, I do what I have to do and I get on with many people. But Marion has difficulties getting included with the other girls," added Rezai.

Has never excelled on grass, and Rezai's best progress at Devonshire was in 2008 with a second round exit. However, reached the quarter-finals at 2010 Birmingham event at the Priory Club.

Reached third round at 2010 French Open.

Chances of winning | Unlikely to win but is a good quality floater who may cause problems for others. Given a generous draw, could ease into the quarter-finals.
