Ana's nightmare never ends

Ana
Ivanovic's nightmare past 12 months continued as the 21-year-old bowed
out of the 2009 AEGON International on Monday, allowing Russian Nadia Petrova
to bounce back from the jaws of defeat.
Polish-based
Petrova reeled off five successive games to see off the world no13 6-1,
4-6, 6-4 and leave Ivanovic facing an uncertain future despite having
raced to world no1 in May 2008.
Ivanovic was in sight of sealing victory at 4-1 in the final set, impressing avid supporter Jelena Dokic on Centre Court, but a double-fault allowed Petrova to step up a gear and break before rolling past the out of sorts Serbian.
