James Ward (WC) vs Oleksandr Dolgopolov
vs
Defeating Schuteller on Centre Court was easily the biggest career win for the 23-year-old. If Ward can come off the blocks as fast against Oleksdandr Dolgopolov then he could emerge victorious, but it all depends on the success of the British no5's serve.

Julien Benneteau (no4) vs Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (no5)
vs
Although Benneteau has been inconsistent this season, with a season win-loss record of 18-13 this season and last reached a semi-final slot on home soil in February when the 28-year-old finished runner-up at Marseille.
Benneteau has yet to drop a set at Eastbourne, having disposed of American veteran James Blake and then Israeli no David 'Dudi' Sela.
Garcia-Lopez, the world no41, was a semi-finalist at the 2009 AEGON International and enjoys playing on the Devonshire Park grass. He has extended his 2010 win-loss record to 17-15 following triumphs over Tunisa's Marc Gicquel and then Italian Fabio Fognini.
|
Gilles Simon (no3) vs Michael Llodra (no8)
vs
The pair last met on home soil in 2009, where Llodra required three sets to win in their semi-final clash at Lyon - the last time Simon reached the final four.
Wildcard Simon, the world no32, has returned to the ATP Tour in style after a lengthy lay-off to register straight set victories over Evgeny Korolev and Russian qualifier Andrey Kuznetsov at Eastbourne 2010.
Llodra, the world no46, is seeking his second semi-final of the campaign and is confident on grass after reaching the quarter-finals at Queen's Club in London the previous week. Llodra dismissed qualifier Martin Emmrich with ease and then stuttered past fellow French star Stephane Robert in three sets.

Frank
Dancevic is one of two Canadian representatives to make the semi-finals
at the AEGON International, and will appear on Centre Court on Friday
after compatriot Aleksandra Wozniak takes on Caroline Wozniaki
in
the women's draw
Wozniak said: “It’s
exciting to have a man and a woman from Canada in the semi-finals of
Eastbourne.”
Qualifier
Dancevic defeated Argentine Leonardo Mayer 6-7(4) 6-4 7-5 to make it
five matches unbeaten, making a mockery of his world ranking of no126.
He
admitted: "It was a very difficult match and I was lucky to hang in
there, but I'm on a pretty good roll. I came into this tournament
wanting to get some matches before Wimbledon and I’m on a pretty good
roll. Grass is definitely one of my favourite surfaces to play on and
when I play on grass I feel at home."
Dancevic faces
French veteran Fabrice Santoro in Friday's semi-final, who is playing
in his last full season on the ATP Tour and was fortunate to make the
final four at the expense of long-term pal Ivan Ljubicic.
Ljubicic
raced into a 6-3 first set lead but was trailing 2-4 in the next set
when he had a freak accident trying to avoid hitting the net. The
Croatian giant looked impressive until he went down in agony with an
ankle injury and was forced to withdraw from the tournament, which was

"He was playing good tennis, leading and serving
well, so it's a sad way for me to reach the semis. It's a very sad way
to win a tennis match, especially when your opponent is a good friend,”
admitted Santoro. "Frank is very good player, I will have to
play
my best
to reach the final.“
The other semi-final pitches no2
seed Dimitry Tursunov against no4 seed Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, the
fourth match scheduled to be played on Centre Court.
Tursunov
triumphed 7-6(6) 6-4 over Dennis Istomin and had
the Uzbekistani
on the rack the 90 minute contest. And Tursunov was emphatic on his
serve, winning 85 per cent of the points when he got his first serve
in. The Russian smiled: “I’ve really enjoyed
playing here and
feel like I’m really finding my way on grass now."
Garcia-Lopez
was formidable against hard-hitting grass court expert Janko Tipsarevic
of Serbia to pull off a thrilling 6-4 3-6 6-3 success. The Spaniard
said: “I’ll be concentrating on my game and playing my best tennis,
preparing the same as all the other matches here. I’ve been
enjoying my time in Eastbourne by having fun with my tennis, with the
fans and with my coach.”
