Julien Benneteau

The tall Swiss-based French star has only made an impact in front of his home crowd, which began with a run to the quarter-finals of the 2006 French Open.

Briefly dipped into the world's top 40 in 2009, but has yet to capture the form he showed as a junior despite his ability and guile on all surfaces.

Famous for his 53-shot rally with Andy Murray in the quarter-finals of the 2009 Western & Southern Financial Group Masters, which ended when the French ace smashed a lob that grazed the net and went wide of the court.

Registered a three set victory over Roger Federer at the 2009 Paris Masters on home soil, but has yet to win a singles title although came close in Lyon before suffering defeat to Swede Robin Söderling.

Reached four ATP Tour finals in his career between May 2008 and February 2010, the most recent defeat to compatriot on hard courts at Marseille.

Reached second round of 2010 French Open.

Realistic chances of winning // May cause an upset with his remarkable serve, and can expect a run to the semi-finals if given a generous draw.
