new purpose-built TownerTowner Art Gallery | A purpose-built new look Towner has risen like a chalk cliff-face, albeit one that will not erode like the natural cliffs at nearby Beachy Head and Birling Gap.
The striking building was designed by architectural firm Rick Mather and sits to the left of the award-winning modernist glass and concrete Congress Theatre. It has replaced the original Towner Art Gallery that was located an 18th century manor house in Manor Gardens, in a part of Eastbourne called Old Town, having opened in 1923 but closed a couple of years ago. enjoy drinks al fresco at Dal MaestroDal Maestro | If you want to escape the high tennis prices for food at Devonshire Park but don't fancy a pub then why not visit Dal Maestro. As the nearest restaurant to Devonshire Park, a mere two minute stroll, the welcoming staff will greet you like long lost friends even if you want an espresso, wine, Peroni beer or reasonably priced cocktail drink al fresco. The exterior gives it an expensive look, but this French/Italian eaterie offers good value and even has takeaway facilites. A perfect place for an al fresco drink, quick snack, light lunch or lavish evening meal. for review details and prices CLICK HERE.
