Caroline Wozniacki will face Karolina Pliskova in the final after the former world no.1 beat British hopeful Heather Watson in three sets.
The 2009 Eastbourne champion proved too powerful for the ex-British no.1 to triumph on the sunny Centre Court 6-2 3-6 7-5.
Wozniacki breezed away with the opening set by breaking Watson’s serve three times before the fightback.
The 25-year-old was in no mood to meekly surrender, so upped her game and dropped her nerves to level matters with commanding play to capture the second set.
But experience, both on the WTA Tour and at Devonshire Park, paid dividends for the great Dane to snatch the decisive set by winning key points to move into the final against Czech Republic’s Pliskova – who had a walkover victory over injured British no.1 Johanna Konta.
